Sustainable Business and Innovation Nike

"I didn't expect to go into business," concedes Hannah Jones, 42. A philosophy major who did a stint on pirate radio, she says she joined Nike's sustainability team to test whether it was "more effective to shout from the outside or work from the inside."

"Her conclusion: The creative combination of both is the most potent. She has paired Nike with NASA and venture capitalists to address water shortages; with Creative Commons to launch GreenXchange, a platform for companies to share green intellectual property; and with PopTech to create an Open Collaboration Lab for scientists and engineers."

"We need to get to a place," Jones says, "where businesses leverage renewable energy, do not produce waste, and have clean water coming in and clean water coming out." Big Fans of Nike, Angus & Sons, Fife Scotland

Quidco - Cash Back Site

Money Savings Expert" website is a site I visit frequently. I read an article about a cashback website called Quidco, since then I have been using Quidco for over two years now. I bought my annual house contents and building insurance from Quidco twice now. I do my usual research work of shopping around for the best deals and always go back to Quidco to find something better. Similarly with my car insurance and my central heating servicing! Plus others; my airline tickets, printer cartridges, paper and foreign exchange. It has helped saved my household budget. Thank you Money Savings Expert for recommending Quidco. Check out Starbuck's Video, it has well over 6 millon fans on Facebook, glad these retailers and their consumers are doing something, better late than never! We hope to see more of them doing something. We have damaged the planet over many decades, plus we have over populated the planet and over taken the other members of the animal & plant kingdoms!

Invest Well! Image is Everything

"Seventy six per cent of British bosses would decide against a job candidate because of their clothes. Sixty seven per cent of bosses surveyed say that a good interview outfit should cost in excess of £300, with 94% saying an obviously cheap suit would have the candidate walking out of the door as quickly as they walked in. The team found that traditional formal interview attire says “hire” irrespective of market sector or industry"

"• For men, a tailored navy single breasted suit (51% hire), white or blue long sleeved shirt (48% hire), black leather shoes (56% hire) and black socks (77% hire), low key tie (35% hire) and cufflinks (37% hire) and no handkerchief (35% hire) will send you on your way to your second interview in minutes."

"• For women, a mid-length black skirt or dress (64% hire) with long sleeved and collared shirt or blouse (42% hire), tights (94% hire), high heels (69% hire) and pearls (56% hire) will leave a very positive impression on your future employer."  Check out http://www.careersiteadvisor.com/, Vichitra, Scotland

Think and Grow Rich

I bought a book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Bought it online recommended by some one I meet at a stock/forex trading seminar in London! I read this book with great interest and I realised that I have done a few of the steps mentioned in the book, I will not spill it all, you have to buy one and read it yourself. I read this interesting book at a quiet spot at Star Bucks. having coffee & cake in George Street, Edinburgh and I was hooked. Victoria, Scotland

Being in Sales & Marketing, but I need to look smart and the part especially when I have to present to our clients. Thank goodness though, when Friday comes it's dress down day! George, Manchester

Delighted with New Laptop

Bought a Dell Inspiron 15 before Christmas 2009 to replace my very old & slow laptop! Dell had a Special Festive Season Promotion (free memory and hard drive upgrade, inclusive of VAT & Delivery). Delighted with it! So far so good. I may research and look into buying another but with longer battery life, powerful, slimmer and lighter, which is better for when we travel on holiday. Need A Make Over? Get Smart Suits

Hi Ladies & Gents, get rid of your worn out old suits and get a make over with TM Lewin. I just threw out my old work clothes, don't they wear out so quickly? I guess it may well be the regular dry cleaning chemicals or just simply worn out favourite suits. Invest in a new working wardobe. I recently purchased a dozen new shirts, when I was in London @ TM Lewin, replaced a dozen very old TM Lewin shirts from 2001! They do last well! Take advantage of special promotions!
